Exercise automatic flight control system design

Course Contents The goal of this exercise is to design a flight control system using classical control theory, using a simulation model in Simulink. The exercise makes you in a practical way familiar with the implementation of inner control loop design, handling qualities satisfying CAP/Gibson/MIL-specifications, and the design of a higher level autopilot mode such as glideslope tracking or terrain following. Study Goals To become familiar with classical flight controllers and their design, and to gain insight in handling qualities of open-loop and controlled aircraft
